Hello
I have 2 sets of 6 volt lead acid batteries of different ages from my first venture into solar years ago. I have since upgraded to EG4 rack mount but I would like to use the lead acid batteries to run my DC fridge.
Can I take the 400 watt array and Y branch the output to 2 PWM charge controllers going to the 2 separate batteries?
It would be nice to alternate every other day between the 2 sets and have the battery used the day before getting topped off while charging the battery that would be running the fridge during the daytime , would this work the way that I'm thinking, splitting the 400 watts between the 2 charge controllers?
I don't want to run separate wiring from the panels to individual controllers if I don't have to. It would be much cleaner and easier to follow the sun as my panels are mounted on wheels.
What do you think? Is it worth trying?
Thanks Eddie
