Can I run a ground through the slab?

I’ve got a little 12 volt workshop lighting system, radio, small and load tools occasionally. 200 amp SOK, Victron controller, and Victron 1200 watt inverter.

It’s all inside (except for the solar panels).

This little system will never be connected to anything else.

Instinct tells me I need a ground (as does the Victron manual).

Can I drill a little hole in the slab and pound a ground rod down on the inside of the shop? I’ve never seen this in real life. Otherwise, I’d need to go sidewise through a 10” concrete wall then into the ground outside.

Thanks

Don’t quote me on this, but I believe electrical code allows for a ground internally. Assuming it’s grounded to rebar going through the concrete beneath the surface multiple feet.

However, I do have a 6 foot ground rod punched through the floor in my garage, and I passed inspection with it. Maybe they didn’t see it maybe they did but it works.
