I have a "CHANNELLOCK, No 909, 10-22AWW" crimper.
The front INSUL part has such a large opening that I cannot even crimp an AWG18 wire, it does not close far enough.
If I crimp an AWG18 wire with a Wirefy insulated AWG22-16 connector, the wire will slide right out of the terminal.
I don't understand how you should be able to crimp anything smaller than AWG16.
If the AWG18 does not work, the AWG20-22 cannot work either.
Am I doing something wrong?

Some reviewers on Amazon state they have to use the un-insulated die for smaller insulated terminals.
Are you using quality terminals? Some terminals have thinner metal and do not crimp worth a shit.
Whatever is said, this is an inexpensive tool. We get what we pay for.
