How do i figure out how long it will take for a given solar array to charge a given battery bank. (What is the formula?)
For instance if i have a 1200 watt array how long will it take to charge a 400 ah lithium battery bank.
Or
how long for a 250 watt array to charge a 100 ah battery bank

volts * AH = WH (watt hours)

divide watt hours by your solar watts.

A little more explanation (tldr):

That formula will tell you how many hours it will take if your solar array was pumping it’s max for that many hours (so... in theory). Reality is charge time depends on the sun.

I would like to check my math and calculations - would someone see if I am correct=
I have 1200 watts of solar panels (24v), an MPP2424, two 100 amp/hr batteries (wired in series).

So, 24v * 100AH = 2400 watts.
I have 1200 watts of panels, so should it take 2 hrs to charge the batteries (with perfect sun conditions obviously) and no draw?
