I wonder how many of you check your portable array each time it’s set up.

Every time I set my portable array up, I need to check it. For some reason, about 1/4 th the time, something is wrong. Could be as simple as a cable not hooked up to a recessed pin or wire loose.

I have this array of 9 x 100 watt portable panels setup 3s3p

and charging 24 volts on a 30 amp SCC which maxes out at 840 watts depending on the charging voltage.

Today was earlier in the morning and was around 580 watts

I then step in front of each string of panels and shade a panel expecting the wattage to drop.

This means it’s working as it’s supposed to. All to frequently the wattage stays the same, and I start troubleshooting.

When the wattage had dropped when shading the panel, I step away and the wattage goes back up.

I then finish the other two with the same steps.
