Cool sunny days are better than hot sunny days for solar gain; don't forget to calculate for PV panel thermal loss where applicable. Peace. :cool:

You are certainly correct with that statement. Spring, primarily and Fall secondarily is where we get the best solar performance in Southern Calif. Minimal heat/cooling demand plus high solar output = lots of NET metering credits for A/C use during the hot summer.

Net metering is a nice windfall for sure. There are no utility poles running to my humble homestead. Your summertime power requirement must be significant indeed in sunny southern Cali.!
