What I understand is you need to connect those batteries via CAN to a device such as a Victron Energy Cerbo GX. This is the brain of the ESS system. And you connect your Quattro to the Cerbo via a VE.bus (and install the ESS-assistant on the quattro firmware).

Correct, I have installed this full setup, the problem is that the victron does not recognize the bms of the EG4 life power 4, so there is no communication between the batteries and the ESS system.
