1. Check Dongle Type:
- Ensure you have an E Wi-Fi dongle that typically starts with BJXXXX or BGXXXX. A BAXXXX dongle will not work with this guide.

2. Access EG4 Monitoring Portal:
- Navigate to the EG4 Monitoring portal.
- Locate the Dongle section of the website.
- Ensure the firmware version is V2.06 or newer. If not, update the dongle firmware.

3. Update Dongle Firmware: *Contact a distributor or EG4 representative at this time*
- Click on "Management" and then "Update."

4. Connect to the Wi-Fi Dongle Network:
- Open the app and connect to the Wi-Fi network emitted by the dongle.

5. Dongle Connection Setup:
- Click on "Dongle Connect."
- Wait until the "Dongle Connect Params" option appears and select it.

6. Enable Encryption Mode:
- Enable "Encryption Mode."

7. Change Password:
- Click the "eye" icon.
- Input the code "123123."
- Enter your desired password and select "Set."

8. Reconnect to Wi-Fi:
- Reconnect to the Wi-Fi network emitted by the dongle using the new password you have set.

9. Reset Password (if needed):
- If you forget the password or want to disable encryption, hold the reset button on the dongle for approximately 10 seconds.

I have not registered my inverter.

Is there a way to update dongle firmware with local connect?
