Either 24V or 48V indoor switches, lights, etc? Wiring a tiny home with DC

Working on a tiny home design in which we are trying to stay lower voltage or reduce some red tape with our code inspectors. The problem is you can buy 120V toggle switches for a couple bucks, yet I have not found many that are actually DC rated? Can these commonly be found? What about lights and such? The wire won't care so it would seem Romex would work great, but all other components seem to be very expensive just due to the rating.

Most of the low voltage dc lighting is 12 volts.
Some is 24 and I have seen ~1 example of 48 volt lighting(from memory it was expensive).
Will you be wiring for ac anyway?
Will you have a base ac load that keeps the inverter running all the time?
If the answer to both of those questions is yes(it was in my case). I suggest you forgo dc lighting except near the battery so that you don't have to work on the system in the dark if the inverter goes offline.
How many square feet is your tiny home?
