Enphase IQ8 micro connector orientation

The Enphase IQ8 micro inverters are connected in a string with the Q cable that has connectors built in at a set spacing. The connectors can be inserted in either of two orientations. Unlike a simple ac plug/receptacle that enforces a single orientation to ensure hot and neutral are connected correctly.

Can I assume that orientation of the connector doesn't matter?

This does make sense as each micro inverter senses the grid 240 volt 60 hz phase and syncs to it

To clarify, the DC conductors have polarity and mate with respective panel connectors. The AC connectors are just L1 and L2 and as @timselectric mentioned, orientation does not matter.

Enphase IQ micros are double insulated.

The 2 squares logo on the label of the micro's confirms it does not require a safety connection to electric earth (ground)
