It's 16 years old, has been in continuous use (well, only during the day) and in doing some other work on the system I briefly stupidly swapped the polarity on the DC wiring. Long story short, I decided to move on, as I couldn't get it to boot up, and a few tips from inverter repair experts didn't pan out, and I really couldn't see spending more money shipping it out to be repaired, waiting, and then still having a 16 year old unit, so I bought a new replacement. I was told that getting the wrong polarity wrong shouldn't kill it, and maybe a $2.00 part will get it up and running, if so, I don't want to hear about it at this stage, it's history! Either it goes in my shop's scrap bin for the next run to the salvage yard, or I sell it dirt cheap, I don't want it laying around reminding me of my screwup. $10.00, buyer pays shipping. If I don't sell it in a couple weeks I'll scrap it.
