Hello everyone.

I was wondering if anyone successfully utilises the Growatt ARK 2.5L- A1 batteries with a non Growatt charger and if so, what is your setup?

I have an off-grid setup with 8 ARK LV batteries and two Growatt SPF 5000 ES inverters in parallel and would like to move away from these inverters (maybe opt for microinverters and MPPT since I have some issue with shading), but would like to keep the batteries.

And yes, as you guessed I am a total n00b when it come s to solar.

Thanks, Mike

This might help:

I'm guessing that you can use the battery in "voltage" mode (inverter has charge parameters, and doesn't try to communicate with the battery).

Thanks, that is what I was thinking.

But since Growatt support (from other threads) claims that the batteries are only compatible with Growatt inverters I was wondering if anyone actually tried this.

Thanks again.

Cheers, Mike
