I did a pretty thorough search and I couldn't find the info I need. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have two Renogy 200ah 12v batteries. I am trying to test the capacity with the same tester Will uses in a video he made. I have everything hooked up but I am unsure if I need a fuse and I don't want to drain the battery completely. I am unclear if this tester shuts down before any damage on the battery can occur?
The instructions with it are vague. If anyone has a similar setup to mine and can lend me some advice that would be great!

What can I use to keep the battery safe while using this thing? I don't have a BMS (whatever that is?) I'd just like to get these batteries tested to know if they work.
