I have 28 used sharp 235 volt panels.
The label on the panels reads thus:
Maximum power 235 watt
open circuit voltage 37V
short circuit current 8.6A
Rated voltage 30V
Rated current 7.84 A
Maximum system voltage 600 v
Maximum series fuse 15 amps
I am making 4 strings of 7 panels each then paralleling 2 strings of 7 panels to get a nominal output of 296 volts @17.2 amps.
I'm connecting everything with 30 amp pv wire.
I'm placing 4 inline 15 amp fuses, one in each string of 7 panels inline before where I connect them in parallel.
Does this sound like I am meeting code? Is there any convention on where the fuses should be placed in the series string? Or just where they are easily accessible?
Thanks.
