I recentely purchased a DALY 4s 12v 100A bms. I connected all the wires by steps as told to in the instructions. And when the meter is connected to the pos. and neg terminals on the battery I get 13.52v. However when going thru the BMS, I only get 4.26v. Is the BMS garbage?

I assume you followed the directions and confirm the sense wire connection order and voltage stepping?

Some DALY require shorting P- and B- to activate/wake-up the BMS.

I have a question. Will this battery charger work to charge my battery (Lifepo4 16 cells 12v) located inside my boat when not in use or will it do more harm than good ????

Based on the label, it seems like a fine enough charger; however, there is zero reason to have a LFP battery trickle charged or floated to full charge. In warm environment, 100% SoC for extended periods causes deterioration.

If you're worried about the battery discharging while you're gone, simply disconnect it.

Please not that the battery gauge is only useful for voltage. The % indication is 100% unreliable and will almost always be wrong.

Thank You for that info. my main reason for asking was to be able to charge the battery like after about 4 to 6 hours of fishing so that it would be ready to go when I go out again. Another question, will this charger harm my BMS???

If you can confirm the charger will simply charge the battery and then stop charging, then it would work for your stated use.
