Help with victron smart shunt

I bought a smart shunt that will eventually be integrated in my system but I'm using it for load testing some batteries. I was under the assumption it would data log but its only showing a " trends " while the smartphone app is open , once closed it looses the graph data. Is this correct ? What would I need to data log ?

It will hold graph data for 30 days.

Yes it holds the data in memory and when you use the app it displays it.

Note: you get frequent data points (every few seconds) for a few minutes. As the data ages, it gets averaged into larger buckets. Frustrating when you want to see what happened during the power outtage a few hours ago when you were not home.

Yes running latest firmware , I'll try again today .

Upon connecting today there was another firmware update and it seems to be data logging and keeping data when not connected to the app .

Can I connect the smartshunt to raspberry pi running Venus os via Bluetooth or only via USB ?
