Here are the parts to "Build a System Challenge"

I calculate the 2s2p would be 60 volts and 18 amps
2s would produce 60 volts and 9 amps
Sound about right?
Well you gave us the VoC but not the Imp so I had to guess that 250w / 37.6VoC would be about 6.5a, so a 2s2p would give you about 75v @ 13a which would be about 1000w, but since your controller can only output 60a @ 12v that's 720w so you're over-paneled quite a bit. I'd aim them SE and SW to get them producing longer in the day.

The other two would be faced due south and 75v * 6.5a would max out your 40a SCC at a 12v system.

That should get you a clean 500w generating at sunup, 500+w mid-day and 500w until sundown.

I laughed so hard when I read "Put the "300w Flexible" panels in the trash can"?
Those have come up before and the specs sticker say 100w, the measurements say 100w, but the ad says 300w.
