Ok so I have 2s3p array using santan 240w trina cracked back vinyl panels and their branch connectors and 50 feet of their pv 10ga wire to a cheap Amazon 32amp mcb to the older version powmr 3k24v aio to a ampere-time (li-time) 24v 100ah lifepo4 battery. The unit is running a 5000btu ac unit and nothing else. I seem to be chugging along at 20a draw to ac inverter and 8 amps into battery and about 800w of solar.
It shows 30a pv but I think thats after mppt since my clamp meter shows 19a at the breaker. I dont like how these breakers produce heat. But i think i have a system that the wife can manage while im not here.
I just need to tidy things up and put it on a metal rack in the house or something.

Its a mess. Im wondering if I really need a breaker between the battery and the inverter? I have a 150a one from santan but it feels cheap and gets hot. Also i think 150 is to high for a 100a bms

If it's getting hot I wouldn't trust it. Use a fuse and a manual disconnect/isolator.

I dont like fuses. For what they cost ill use a breaker. Its not overly hot. Its noticeably warm. Ill use my ir temp gauge and report back
