If I connect a 100A charger to a 10A BMS will it release magic smoke?

Wondering if the charger and BMS need to be matched or if the BMS will just limit down to what it needs.

It will probably disconnect due to too high of current .... but letting the smoke out is always a possibility.

The bms will not limit current. Only stop it entirely.


Or smoke itself.
