I took a chance and bought 4 of these to put together a test battery pack for setting up my MPP 3048LV-MK. Today I decided to pop the top off of one, as I wanted to see if the internals were decent, as the batteries have been performing rather well in my testing. I did buy a JKBMS to use for when I build a battery, but, in the spirit of testing, I want to test the BMS on these cells before I spend a grand on 100Ah cells.
Anyway, here's a few pics:
The BMS works pretty well and does balance, if slowly. It protects from overcurrent protection and also overcharging and overvoltage. It probably doesn't have cold temp cutoff, as there doesn't seem to be a temp sensor that I can see from the top. The cells are shrunk and tapped together, and potted to the case with a bunch of potting, though, I think I'd prefer that the cells be stood upright.
