I have 2x 48v 10kw lifpo4 batteries, coming back from 2 months away, I found that all of the cells from one of the batteris have swollen and not by a little bit.
Looking at the logs it appears the mppt charger at one stage was charging 62v and then died, why the BMS did not intervene ?
I have swapped out the boards and re-commissiond the inverter charger and connected the battery with the non-swollen cells, its been running fine for the last 5 days.
In the meantime I've been looking through youtube with what to do about the battery with the swollen cells.
I checked the voltages of all cells they are all around 2v
I have reconnected the swollen battery with the non-swollen battery and the inverter charger is charging them both, I've checked for heat and is currently charging fine.
Comments are welcome.
