Inverter Under AMP (AC IN) issues?

Hi Folks, My Inverter (Growatt 3k) recommends a Max of 40 Amp AC input. If I use a 30 Amp Circuit is there any NEGATIVE (besides slower charging) to the battery? I am just using the system as a GRID backup at this point so slower charging won't be an issue (i hope).

If it tries to draw 40A from a 30A circuit, i would hope/expect that it blows a fuse or trips a breaker.
