Is it OK to vertically stack prismatic cells side by side?

Both EEL and Seplos sell 48v battery boxes that stack cells by their sides in two columns with 8 cells in each column. Is it OK to stack batteries like this especially since the last ones bear the whole weight?

The YIYEN 7.5kwh (2P16S) wall mounted battery installed in 2018 is arranged in a similar manner as your pic, 2 rows stacked but with the terminals & bus bar connections facing each other. Working just fine so far.

Many manufacturers are using this setup, more and more.
Still there is some debate about this position; especially wrt electrolyte not covering all necessary parts over time.

I wanted this setup at my build as well, but because of the debate about the position of the cells, decided not to go this route.

I did it two years ago and got some electrolyte leakage. Not much damage but when I added 16 more cells I changed to horizontal configuration.
