Hi all, this is hard to google, so apologies if this is not possible.

Looking to have solar, batteries, and full panel backup on the main house panel, selling back to the grid with solar mounted on the roof while having full 200amp backup.

A sub panel on a separate building (Barn), looking to install it's own solar system and batteries and inverter, but keep it isolated from "backfeedling" back to the main panel, and keep it's solar and batteries selfishly just for the barn.

Goal:
  1. Use the "Tesla" ecosystem for the main house and V2H + powerwalls
  2. Have the barn be my play area with sol-ark / 18k's and batteries to keep the shop running, without "messing up" any interconnect / main panel issues... while still "connected" to pull power from the grid if the barn solar can't keep up.

Thank you, and sorry if it's not clear, this question was very difficult to get across.

Is this possible or even wise to do?

Thank you

Yes all your would be doing is grid assist vrs a grid tied just make sure if it’s a grid tied capable inverter it’s set for 0 export and I think you would be good
there is several people here that have sol ark maybe someone will chime in
