the hankzor 4s, I wired in a switch and only turned it on as needed but I left it plugging in all the time.

The other adjustment I made for the BMs was balance all the time while cells >3.4v not just while charging. My bank has zero load majority of the time and only used on weekends so each day it got 4+hrs of balancing and kept cells nice and happy. So much so I haven’t used the active balancer for quite some time.

The hankzor is priced right and it looks good. I bought the JBD 4S 200A, it finally arrived and in the box it has a pamphlet that says I should buy an active balancer. I thought I was getting that lol.

IMO it all depends on how often your cells see >3.4v mine once charged we’re able to passive balance for 2-3 hours a day and had little to no load on them between next charging.

I attached a translated version of the document .... it pops up an error message, but I just ignore it.
Wow this is great 👍 😃
Just one question, I don't see any voltage/current wire ratings or specs. Shouldn't a BMS manual include these type of specs?

I didn't find anything definitive, I'm sure there are experts here that could tell you exactly what you need but I went with 1/0 Gauge AWG. Then from the Anderson to the inverter and charger I used 4 AWG since its just a 1000kW inverter and 60A charger.

Just looked at this thread. The problem is that you have to hook up #5 and #10 red wires together for the balance leads. So start with black on the very first negative post then the very next wire to positive on the cell, back down next red wire to next cell to positive ect ect... You will use up the first 5 wires then take the last red wire, tie it with #5 red wire. So you end up using 6 wires total on a 4 cell pack. Make Note: Make sure you plug in you temp sensor and start button in the right slots. They both will insert either way. Look close. One locks it different from the other. Meaning they wont lock in if they are inserted wrong.
