I am looking to hire someone that can consult with for a fairly large residential solar install. I already have the panels (72 panels), 3 inverters and diy batteries and plan to do the majority of the install myself but some of it I want to hire out. I would like to hire someone to help with permits I need for pole barn roof install and ground install of panels, I would hire someone to do the pole barn roof install, I will be doing the ground install myself. I am not selling back to the power company but will have grid power used for backup/battery charging when needed, so what permits are needed for this if any as well? I will need 100 amp service wire ran from solar shed to home (buried about ~200 feet run), so need help with this job and permits required if any.

Basically I need someone to consult with install and some of the work hired out as well. I am in Michigan and plan do start this spring/summer.

Thanks!

Although this is a much larger system than the systems that I have designed, the fundamentals are pretty much the same. I too am in central MI and would like to follow this build.

Hello, I am about done with the install, have a few more small things to finish up before scheduling final inspection, I am sure I will fail it but hopefully I won't have much to redo. :)

I just took a quick video with a run through of the system if interested.

Well Done! Mine will be very similar only much smaller and all Midnite with no grid tie. It's a cottage north of you on the Flint River in the Twp. I only need 9Kwh/day when there and 3Kwh/day when gone. Monthly usage is 300Kwh when there and 100Kwh when gone. I'm only there in the summer for a month or two. I'll consider the wood panel racks but have been using fixed EG4 @45degrees, KIS. Smaller Bldg. and 3 racks. Fenced and inspected. Designing now for install in 2026.
