I just upgraded my solar system with an all-in-one inverter (sungoldpower) and 4 380w panels (Canadian Solar).
I noticed when reading the data from the inverter that I produced around 700w in full sun. I tested the panels 1 by 1 with a multimeter. And they provide ~38v and ~7amp. However once I put them in series they only provide ~139v and ~5amp (~700w). I couldn't test them when they were connected in series with the multimeter because it produced huge sparks.
I wonder if the problem comes from the inverter mppt or if it's my network which is poorly made.
I don't think the problem comes from my battery state of charge as even though I connect load to the inverter the amps coming from the solar panels don't increase.
