I managed to get hold of a battery unit from an eDELIVER 3 with an idea to re-purpose them as an energy storage unit for the house.
The pack is 52.5kwh, made up of 24 batteries with 4 cells per battery. I've managed to break the pack down and now I have 8 strings in parallel, 3 batteries per string giving me approx 48V per string.
To this I've hooked up 2 of the Growatt SPF5000ES inverters to work in parallel. This week I should hopefully get the rest of my cables made up and finish off the AC side of it.
What are you guys running for DC protection? At the minute I have some TOMZN 125A breakers and they seem to work well according to most reviews, but what are your experiences with them?
The other question I have is regarding AC breaker type. Should I be using a certain type of protection with an inverter? I was thinking RCBO, type B. Let me know what you guys recommend.
Thanks in advance.
I'll update with some pictures soon.
