Hi All,

We are trying to plan out our future solar system. Currently the house has a main meter socket with 100a double pole breaker. In this enclosure is a ground/neutral bond. Inside the house is a 100a panel with separated grounds and neutral - not bonded.

We do not plan to do net metering or zero export at this time.

Our initial thoughts to provide flexibility in flipping back and forth to grid was to provide a 50 amp breaker on an interlock to backfeed the panel. The concern is the neutral here. Technically the interlock does not disconnect the neutral. Is this an issue? See sketch below

The other option would be a 3 pole disconnect switch that would throw the neutral along with the loads depending on what system we want to use. See below.Disconnect.PNG

Lastly, we are purchasing a Megarevo R10KLNA. According to Will's video on the EG4 inverter, it is not bonded. How would we going about bonding these configurations out of the inverter?

If your unit does not have dynamic bonding.
Then your first option is what you want to do.
The existing N/G bond is utilized in both situations.

Thanks Tim, so if we did an interlock, we would still be using the N/G bond at the meter? Is there any issues with the neutral still being connected to the grid?
