Hey all,
My oldest batteries, a 4-battery AGM bank (about 4 years old) were using the default Renogy Rover charging pattern and one of them swelled up.
I took the bank apart, removed that battery and tested. All of them hold a full charge, as shown by multimeter testing, using an agm-rated charger (I charged at 2A to be save).
The swollen battery is out about half a centimeter.
One other is out maybe a quarter of a centimeter (that is, the plastic casing for the UPG 100ah box is swelling that much).
The other two are unaffected.
So, I removed the swollen battery and put the other three together.
How much is too much swelling? When should I be worried?
