Hello,

A quick question here. It is safe to charge LifePo4 batteries in utility charge mode with my MPP-1012LV Inverter? I have read that sometimes batteries get burned because of this. If charging parameters are appropriate for LifepPo4 batteries this should not happen, right?

Thanks!

Yes, but when setting the charge current, make sure that the total current from solar and grid does not exceed the charge limit of the cells.

Please also provide your setting parameter.
What is the spec of the max charging current of BMS battery pack?
The 1012 can be set up to 20A max for until charging, and 40A for solar charging so total is 60A.

My setting parameters are:
Bulk charging: 14.6V
Float charging: 13.5V
Max charging current: 40
Max AC charging current: 20

BMS battery pack:
Battery voltage after full charge: 13.4V-13.8V
Nominal Capacity: 200Ah
Nominal Voltage: 12.8V
Maximum Continuous Charging Current: 100A
Maximum Continuous Discharging Current: 100A
