New install... I just got the equipment today.
I have 2 LV6048 inverter/charge controllers and 4x100ah LifePO4 48v batteries. And 24 420w panels with two 6x2 combiners.

I am powering them with a 100A sub panel w 40 breakers to the inverters, and using them for independent feeds, one feeds a 50A sub panel in my house, the other goes to a 50A sub panel in my shop. They will both be connected to the 4 batteries. Each inverter will be fed by an array of 12 panels in 2S6P configuration. So 24 panels total.

my questions are:

do I even need to use the parallel interconnects between these inverters and if so, what advantage does this provide?
If I'm not paralleling the outputs of the inverters but rather keeping them independent, I presume the charge controllers should act independently.

also, is two arrays of 2S6P the best configuration? The panels are on a south facing slanted roof with no obstructions From 10am-4pm all day.

An alternative config I've considered is paralleling the outputs in 180degree configuration, providing 240v @100A in total, and then running 240v 50A circuits to each of the sub panels.

so many choices to make...

Jeff

Also , what is the best backing to mount these inverters to? I have bare 2x4 studs right now, and I was going to put up a 3/4" 4x8 OSB panel but the manual talks about using non flammable backing material... yes, I actually read the manual.
