New from NW Florida Panhandle

Hello fellow sunshine worshippers. New to the forum and new to off-grid power. I live out in the woods and am retired. I like to spend my time on old tractors, cars, motorcycles, and just generally piddle around. Decided to step off into building a small solar/wind system to run my TV computer, monitor, DSL modem and music system off the grid. 4x100watt Renogy panels, 30A Renogy Wanderer charge controller, two 125 amphour AGM deep cycle VMAX Solar batteries 1200watt Giandel Pure Sine Wave inverter. Kicking around what wind generator to go with. I don't have very good sustained wind here. The wind generator part of my little system will be just a toy to learn with. I have no misguided visions of running very much off this system. If I can maintain the equipment I listed with this system, I will be very happy. Maybe plug in an LED lightbulb now and then.

Combine solar with a wind or other generator

Hello. I want to go to solar with a back up or additional power source. I would like to use some kind of wind or water powered low speed generator to charge batteries. Is there a low speed generator that is being recommended with solar power?
