Hi all,
Just new to this whole game (solar setups, and life really!) and I am looking for some help/guidance.
I have a 'hybrid' system (although it is running off-grid only) which is:
1. bunch of solar panels on the roof
2. Growatt SPF 5000 EW inverter
3. Taico TKPW5000 ( LiFePO4 51.2V 100Ah, 5.12 KWh) battery with BMS built in.

Happy to post videos, pictures, and all the inverter settings if it will help, but, summary of my problem:
The BMS is not talking to anyone!
I connect my laptop with the Taico BMS software, fails to see the BMS.
Inverter, when I change settings to (005=LI, 036=L51) I get error 04/20 (BMS comms error) {battery is at 100%}
When I change inverter to (005=USE) I can see and use the battery, but this runs without the BMS (correct?) - which is not good (from what I understand...?)

So, my question is:
1. Do you want to see all my settings/setup?
2. Is this a known problem? Has anyone else seen this kind of thing, where the BMS will not even talk to a laptop connected directly to the comms port in the BMS/battery system?
3. Should I just switch to a steam powered system and be done with all this high-tech wizardry??

Thanks in advance!

Have the same problem and need some guide with connecting BMS between Taico batteries and Felicity inverter IVEM5048
