Actually, all three work.. although fear and scare tactics do work best. This is why we have laws that carry penalties for breaking them, why we include burning in a lake of fire for the religious, and why police wear black gear. Fear tactics are amazingly effective.
People make irrational choices every day.. sometimes the irrational choice is the right one, sometimes its the wrong one, but their reasoning is still irrational. You have no control over the attitudes of others, so making choices based on their mindset and attitudes it is not a wise way to decide something.
No, actually that's not true. The vaccine doesn't stop you from getting covid, nor does it stop you from spreading it, it only makes the affects on you less severe.. in most cases...
If you're making health decisions based on what a politician says, you should really reevaluate your decision making tree.
If a hurricane was on its way and the Biden administration said you need to leave your home immediately and issued "mandatory evacuations" because its going to be really bad, would you stay or leave your home?
What if the Biden administration said the same category 5 storm was going to hit, but "don't worry, the 180mph winds and 25ft storm surge is nothing to worry about" ?? What decision would you make then?
The fewer irrational choices you make in life, the better life is from every perspective.
Let's see if I can address these comments a bit...
1. I should rephrase this to 'with me,
you shouldn't do this through fear and scare tactics.'
2. I don't claim to be the wisest man in the world, but my freedom (rock, paper, scissors), trumps all other things, as being the most important.
3. Great to know, so then why is everyone saying I need to vaccinate with such high urgency as to cease the spread of this virus? So this is more reason why it really doesn't matter to the collective, it more benefits the individual. So why are they so worried, if they're all protected?
4. There are lots of reasons I was 'for' and 'against', I was on the fence in many ways, however I have a lot of faith in my natural ability to fight off a virus, but the freedom thing just kind of sealed the deal. BTW, this is not political, this is about freedom. I may still decide to get vaccinated 10 years down the road say, but it would be based on my choice.
If someone says I need to evacuate for a storm, I will look around at the signs and evidences, make my own observations and decide for myself if that is a prudent decision for me. I am more the type that would not evacuate necessarily, I have been in some nasty storms and they are indeed fun to watch and experience when you're in the center of it (as long as you feel like you're not going to fly away with it hehe). I ultimately decide on my own fate though, and will make decisions based on information I collect, I am a proponent of free-agency, if a man wants to do something foolish and dangerous, then that is his choice. Ask Evel Knievel about this...
