I'm installing a Will Prowse 400 Watt Solar Package w/ Alternator Charging System in a 2004 Monaco Motorhome. The only difference is I'm using a
Xantrex Freedom 458 Series Inverter/Charger instead of his pure sine wave inverter. When plugged into ground power the Xantrex will charge the house batteries.
Will's system uses a Renogy DC DC Battery Charger w/ MPPT. A few questions about this unit.
1. With no solar connected to it and no ground power connected with the motorhome's engine running will it still charge the house batteries normally?
2. With the engine off and solar connected and ground power connected to the motorhome and the Xantrex charging the batteries will the Renogy Charger sense this and stop the charge from itself?
Thanks
