Been looking for a 12V inverter. Current systems include a Delta 2 max, four 12V 100Ah Redodo mini lfps, two Renogy 115W bifacials and a Victron IP22 12/30.

Was leaning towards the Victron Pheonix 12/1200 but the 1200VA rating was giving me concerns and the step up to a multiplus 2000 is quite steep.

Then I noticed the relatively new Redodo 1kw/2kw inverters. I've been very impressed with the Redodo customer service via the Amazon support channel, they were curious on how I was planning to use my Redodo minis and advise on charge voltages etc. Long story short, just ordered a LiTime 12/3000 inverter, 15% off and then another 10% brought the price down to $249 after tax. Only three Vine reviews on Amazon but they seem positive. Big unknown to me is fan noise level, and idle consumption. If either are too high I'll be returning it.

Them there cables don't quite look like they'll handle...

3000W/12/.85 = 294A
Yeah apparently it comes with dual 4AWG which isn't going to cut it. I just cancelled the otder gonna go with something Victron, the 800 or 1200VA. I have the Delta 2 max if I need more wattage.

Post pics when you get it...

If you plan on pulling more than 1500W, make sure you feed it with at least 4/0 copper...

A pair of them would be better...

Yeah, this is WHY 12V sucks for more than 2000W... the AMPS are just SOOOOOO high.

I have a 12V 3000W inverter... it is a BEAST. All the mosfets were blown when I got it...
Likely the previous owner used small wire, and loaded it with over 2000W for too long.

But generally, shouldn't a well-educated person purchase a 3000w/12v inverter expecting to never get anywhere near 3000w?

For the price, it could work well as a 1500w or 2000w hard limit inverter... since you are the one designing and using the system.

For what its worth, I've been using my 8000w! power jack inverter with 400-1800w loads for over two years mostly 24/7 without issue. The advertising adds 4000w 110v + 4000w 220v together to get 8000w.... somehow, but I don't really ever want to push it over 2500w or so. I'm not sure I've been over 2000w actually.
