Rs 485 pin out

I was told by Solar Assistant that I connect batteries straight to the it instead of going through inverter. I only need 2 wires to use a USB to RS 485.

So I ordered one and the out on it is + and -. Now I need to now what + and - is on the RS 485 on the battery.

Anyone know by chance? I have Jakiper batteries and not sure if all are the same.

I didn't have any luck with communicating with my MPP 6548s. It seems to be hit or miss with communicating with the MPP inverters. Thats why I was going straight to solar assistant.
I know what wires but I don't know what + and - is. Thanks
