I have 2 x 12v200Ah (Blue Carbons) and while my original plan was to put 4 of them in parallel, I'm now looking into getting to 24v by adding 2 more 24v100Ah (not Blue Carbons but same manufacturer):
2 x 12v200Ah in series (24v200Ah), then adding it to 2 x 24v100Ah in parallel.
My considerations were:
I have watched Will's video below but I'm not really sure if my plan is good or bad.
What do you think?
2 x 12v200Ah in series (24v200Ah), then adding it to 2 x 24v100Ah in parallel.
My considerations were:
- Each Blue Carbon weighs around 35kg (metal case with a thick metal BMS heatsink); it's gonna be installed on the second floor and with 4 of them I'm concerned with the weight and handling.
- The 24v100Ah is cheaper by around $66 and lighter (ABS plastic case); so it's dual savings in price and weight.
