Smart ESS app upgrade

For those of you who have the WatchPower related app Smart ESS for Voltronic type inverters (EG4, MPP, Sungoldpower, etc) there has been an update to the latter.

It has improvements, i.e. when you look at the Analysis tab parameters like PV voltage, charging power, grid voltage, etc, it shows more precise time data as you scroll across the screen. Before it would show just the hour and the value, but now it shows the hour and minute.

The Flow tab has an updated visual as well. All the tabs are green on a black background whereas before it was white. So it has a more appealing view, IMO.

I also have the WatchPower app, but it hasn't changed. I know there are many on here who don't like either app, but considering it's free, I think the newer Smart ESS app is more appealing than before. Unfortunately the app still doesn't update test data more frequently, it's still every 5 minutes or so.

since these are all clones of the same app, the one i used was called "sunpower", would any of them work or do you have to stick to the one branded for your inverter brand?

I don't know about the Sunpower app, but the two I have both work with my EG4 inverter. The SmartESS app has more features in it than the Watchpower app. I imagine either one would work with yours if yours is LV6548 clone like MPP Solar, EG4, Sungold Power, Rich Solar etc.
