Which affordable software can be used for designing of site plans and 3-line diagrams similar to those in attached samples?
"AutoCad Electrical" would be ideal. But it's very expensive and it gives only 30 days of free trial period. I doubt it's possible to learn such complicated package within 30 days to make anything practical ready for submission to utility and AHJ for approval
"SmartDraw" has a pretty good balance between price and functionality. But I didn't find any solar components (panels, inverters, etc) in its libraries. Is anybody using it for 3-line solar diagrams
I completed a couple of solar projects with those diagrams created using just "MS Paint" built into each version of Windows OS. But with growing complexity of projects it makes more and more difficult to go any further with "MS Paint". Also it constantly crashes with big diagrams
