SOK rack battery transport

I’m finally taking my rack batteries up to the place for install.

Does anyone know if they can be transported on their side or back (control panel facing up?

It will be an hour till current connected opens and I’ll lose my helper. Heavy little guys.

I briefly looked at the faq but didn’t see anything.

If you're talking about the batteries themselves, it's no problem to have them in any orientation, so long as the cases are supported correctly, because the flange on the front face that mounts them into the rack is not Weight supporting, it's just to keep them from sliding around in the rack.

For mobile use the manual says to keep them horizontal as they would be in a rack to minimize jarring:

I guess I should transport flat to be safe.

I would bet on its side would be best, to keep the weight of the battery off that mounting flange.

The flanges are not installed yet.
