solar controller with gate question

The solar controller went bad on my driveway gate I replaced it with a new controller but have a curiosity question.

The old controller had two connections one to the battery/gate control board and one going to the solar panel. The new controller obviously has battery, solar panel, and load connections.
Should I do some rewiring and separate the battery and Gate board? I can move the gate control board over to load pretty easily it just wasn't designed that way when I purchased it.

Nope, just ignore the load ports, they're pretty low amperage anyways and aren't very useful most of the time for anything more demanding than an LED or the like.
