Hi, I'm just curious about the differences between two solar pumps. There are 2 submersible well pumps, they both have a head height of 15 meters but one pump requires 200 W of power while the other needs 370 W.

What's the reason behind but having the same performance but different needs for power? Is there any advantage from using the 370 W pump? Considering it's already at a disadvantage in terms of energy needs.

Without knowing the full specs for both pumps and the application it is impossible to make a comparison. Likely the larger wattage pump has a greater flow rate in GPM.

They are meant for watering a garden. The 200 W pump has 15 meters maximum head height and 3000 liters/hour maximum flow rate. The 370 W pump has 15 meters maximum head height and 4000 liters/hour maximum flow rate.

Watts are power and to lift water, you need power. The lesser pump will pump slower and use less power. Your choice regarding what matters to you. For a garden, it might not matter unless you run out of sunshine because the pumping is too slow.

Alright thanks, things are clearer now.
