A basement is a great place to hide from a tornado.
Not so much, for a hurricane.

Also, not much help in an earthquake!

Mostly prone to tornadoes, in my area.
Which is why I have always had a basement.

heh, I'm in the midwest, I'm going to see if I can just roof the room and maybe add a 4th wall if I have to (walls are already concrete)
