I've had a couple lifepo 100 AH batteries in my RV for a few years, and just purchased some CIGS panels to charge when not hooked to shore power or driving. I was thinking why not tap into the cables before the charge controller, like with a switch, to charge my solar generator? Anyone try this?

Yeah, you could easily just use a solar combiner box and have two separate cables come out.

One would be fed into your home so you could charge your power station inside and the other cables would just go to your RV to charge those batteries.

After looking into combiner boxes, that looks like extra stuff I don't really need. I plan to run the 3 panels in parallel and have the 2 cables come down from the RV roof. Then throw a switch in the mix. One position would go to charge controller the other position output to my AC200MAX.
