Finally pulling the trigger on my system expansion. Bought some Boviet 370 bifacial panels. Will use some 4x4 posts to create a shed over my pool equipment on a West facing side of the house.
5 panels.
2 apsmart rsd-d
1 apsmart rsd-s
Panels in series output goes to a
DC disconnect INSIDE the house.
(using 10awg copper wire)
From disconnect the wiring passes through the apsmart transmitter. The apsmart transmitter is connected to the sol-ark-15k pins 15 and 16. The power to the apsmart will come from a wall wart. The RSD button will be mounted EXTERNALLY right next to my existing solar disconnect switch. (connected to the sol-ark B B pins)
The 10awg wiring will feed into the MPPT1 of the sol-ark.
Thought process-
This covers- panel level shutdown. External disconnect. appropriate wire gauge.
Distances from panel to sol-ark- apprx 15 feet.
does the DC disconnect also need to be EXTERNALLY mounted? or will the RSD button serve the purpose?
Any other ideas?
