I have an indirect hot water heater that I'm planning on heating from my geothermal, which runs at 110F, and it appears I'll need a solar booster to get the temperature in that tank up beyond 120F to stop bacteria growth. The original plan was to use the tank as a preheater for the on-demand system, but if I can't store Domestic Hot water at less than 120F then I can't use the tank, which is 100 gallons and a nice tank. So, I was thinking of putting a solar collector on the roof to somehow boost the temp of the water in the tank up to safe levels. Any suggestions welcome.
