Today's project, a Net Meter.

I'm putting a net meter on my on/off-grid setup.

The players:

This looks pretty straight forward.

Some 6/3 service line (lowes or home depot)
A service meter thing. (Missouri Wind and Solar)
A real live net meter. (Ebay)
Connects.

I have some pretty nice solar production today for now and sending it straight into the "Bolt". So, I am going to wait until tonight to finish it up.

What comes into the batteries/charger from the house.
What leaves the batteries/inverter/off-grid solar, to the house.

I don't think it has RF ability, but it might.

I used 5 kWh of battery for 9 hours today.

Next thing to find out, how much does it take to charge them back. (I don't have the car plugged in tonight)
The inverter is off. My MPP Solar LV5048 is acting as a battery charger only, which is normal during the week, during off demand time.


1 is the Net
2 is from the battery (battery and off-grid solar)
3 is from the house (Grid and Grid-tied solar).
