Upgrading from PWM to MMPT

I have a 2021 Palomini with two 200w Solar panels with a Sw 12-30 solar charger? Is it worth upgrading, as it is difficult to find a MMPT controller to fit in the same cutout in my unit.

You'll likely see a 10-15% improvement in total daily energy harvest.

MPPT tend to be larger due to more and complex circuitry. Fitting to the hole of a 30A PWM is probably impossible, and you likely don't even want to try. MPPT typically have a heat sink and shouldn't be mounted recessed.

Check to see if a Victron MPPT 100/30 works for you.
